Giggs has appeared in united colours in 727 times since debuting against Everton in March 1991.
Giggs is the second most in the appearence table trailing Bobby Charlton's 759 matches.
Giggs has scored 141 goals so far in his United career, and won 18 tittles with the Red Devils.

Ryan Giggs: a fantastic demeanour

Speaking to the Club's official website Giggs said: "I would like to thank Sir Alex Ferguson, the fans and everyone at the club for the great support I have received over the years."

and Fergusson delights: "I am absolutely delighted that Ryan has signed for a further season. He epitomises the word loyalty - he signed here as a 14-year-old school boy and is still with the club 20 years on.
"Apart from his playing ability he has a fantastic demeanour and is a great role model to the younger players. I am sure he will be at the club for a long time to come."

Revealed: why Liverpool so strong in defencive department.

SAMI: Working, working and working.

Sami Hypia reveals that Liverpool defence look rocks solid this season,
and that is the hard work Liverpool defence has faced to stop Fernando Torres.

"He is a very good player, and everyday he does amazingly on the training pitch. He is very hard to play against," the big Finn told Liverpoolfc.tv.
"When he gets the ball he is very direct, he goes straight towards the goal. I'd rather play with him than against him!
"It's good to have a challenge in training. If you play against one of the best strikers in the Premier League almost everyday, that can only help you when the game comes around each weekend."
Asked if he had worked out how to stop Torres, Hyypia added: "I'm working on it, I'm working on it.
"Like I said, I think it would be very hard to play against him in a proper game. I'm happy I'm not the one who has to find a way to play against him in the Premier League.
"I think he can be one of the main strikers in the world over the next few years. I think some people have criticised his goals record, but his game is about so much more than that. He works extremely hard for the team.
"He is scoring more goals now and strikers are judged on how many goals they score in however many games, so I think he could become the best in the world."

meanwhile...fernando Torres is fighting hard to be fit for upcoming Derby agaist EVERTON.
Torres suffered the injury in training with Spain last Friday, and was initially expected to be out for eight to 10 days, but insisted today he was determined to play in his first Merseyside derby.

"I intend to be fit for the Everton game on Saturday," said Torres. "I don't want to miss out on the derby, because it is such an important game."

Redknapp targets top-ten for Pompey.

Redknapp:

Pompey have enjoyed a fine start to the season and currently occupy fifth place in the table, having already played Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool. However, Redknapp, who left the club for Southampton in 2004 before returning in 2005, is not setting his sights on a European place just yet despite increasing expectations.

"A top-half finish would be a brilliant season for us this year," he said. "I know where we were before I joined the club, I know where we were when I left, and I know where we were when I came back.
"A lot of teams have spent money and there's nothing in this league. But you don't get time in this game, you're either winning or losing.
"I don't know any chairmen that have five-year projects. I think chairmen have five-game projects not five-year ones."
Portsmouth comfortably beat Fulham 2-0 last time out, and he added: "It's been a good month and we need to keep it going now but it's not easy.
"Teams like Fulham are the same as us. They've spent over the summer and bought in a lot of new players. So far all the top teams have been defeated at certain times."

TORRES wants to be ready in time

TORRES (right): will be a problem for Blue's diffence if fit.

Fernando Torres is determined to be fit for Liverpool's trip to Everton in the Merseyside derby at the weekend.

The Spanish striker has returned to Melwood for intensive treatment after tearing a muscle in his right leg while on international duty.

The injury was initially expected to keep him out of action for 10 days but Torres says he fully intends to be fit for Saturday's game.

'I intend to be fit for Saturday,' Torres told Spanish radio.
'I don't want to miss out on the derby against Everton. I've been told how special the game is and I need to be ready in time.
'I'm very happy at Liverpool and I've learnt a lot - I love being at a big club like this.
'I have played in big derby matches before. I played for Atletico against Real Madrid and I'm looking forward to enjoying something similar in the Premier League.'

Lehmann targets Gunner No.1

Jens lehmann insist break has benefited him

Lehmann has not featured for the Gunners since 19th August at Blackburn Rovers, where his mistake proved costly for Arsene Wenger's side in a 1-1 draw.
During that spell on the sidelines, Manuel Almunia has proved a more than able deputy, with Arsenal storming to the top of the Barclays Premier League and also impressing in Europe.
Wenger admits he has a tough selection to make when both men are fully fit.
Germany coach Joachim Low has already suggested Lehmann must be back playing regular club football if he is to remain first choice for his country.

"I know I will play for Arsenal again and think it may well be in our next game," he declared. "Maybe this break has been good for me. Maybe I needed it. I never like being out of the team, but look what happened last time.
"The manager left me out for a few weeks three years ago and when I got my place back, I ended up having the best season of my career.
"I feel ready to come back and play to the same level again. I am absolutely convinced that I will play again and I am not even considering a transfer."

and the war has already began.

EVERTON vs LIVERPOOL perhapes the most oldest and fierce rivalry in world of sports..

This time it was Blues skipper Alan Stubbs, hitting out at the Reds boss Rafael Benitez of describing Everton being a small club.
Stubbs told the Mail on Sunday.

'Of course the derby means as much to Liverpool as it does to Everton,'
'If it doesn't, they have a big old problem. If you're not really that bothered about winning against your local rivals, maybe you should be looking at yourself.
'We don't see ourselves as a small club, not at all. If they feel they are that much bigger than us, they should have been getting better results. Like winning the league.
'When you spend that much money, £40-50 million, you would expect to be closer than they have been.
'That's what Liverpool fans would say if you asked them. We beat them 3-0 - and you don't get a result like that by luck.'
'The thing about Liverpool is that I don't know if he (Benitez) has found his best team. I don't know if he has found the balance he's looking for.
'Benitez has done a good job since he arrived but a lot of Liverpool fans are getting disgruntled.
'They want to be challenging but have seen them getting draws at home to teams they think they should be beating because he has been resting players

SISSOKO gets RAFA's Backing

SISSOKO has been impressive since arriving to Anfield.

Previousely SISSOKO has been linked with many other European giants of football, like Barcelona, Juventu and Intermilan.

Again those rumours are starting to spin, as energetic midfielder has been under performing recently.
and Gerrard, Xabi, Macherano and young Brazilian sensation Lucas Leiva is fighting for the same place with SISSOKO.

This was the same when i saw SISSOKO performing below his par for the Reds.
But Reds manager Rafael Benitez has completely different attitude towards the young and athletic Malian.

"I see he is giving everything to play well," he told the club's official website. "For our supporters that is the first thing any player must do.
"Momo was a key player when we won 82 points in the Premier League. Now we need to give him time to allow him to regain his confidence.
"I spoke to him after the Marseille game and said 'keep going.'
"He knows how I work because I managed him when he was 18 at Valencia, where he won the league and Uefa Cup with me.
"He knows I have a lot of confidence in him. I will push him and I will try to improve him."
